Our goal is to create considerate environments for in-house recruiters and suppliers, that challenges conventional thinking. Discover innovative ways to save time, recruit better and meet your peer network. We do this via our Reconverse event series where we bring together like-minded individuals and work together to exchange ideas about recruitment technology, services and best practices.

In Australia, The Recruitment Events Co. is operated by Andrea Kirby. With over 10 years within and leading in-house recruitment teams and projects, both in the UK and Australia, she brings a unique perspective and insight to these events. Having seen the value of the speed meeting and roundtable discussions, she is working in partnership with the UK business to bring these unique events to Australia.

The Recruitment Events Co. was created in 2016, in the UK, to house the four established brands, Reconverse (their signature event featuring speed meetings and peer-to-peer roundtable discussion) ), RecFest, RL100 and The Pop-up Conversations. For over 6 years, these titles have seen global recognition, with over 200 successful events, featuring the industry’s brightest minds and reaching thousands of in-house recruiters at all levels.

Andrea Kirby

Having worked as both a functional recruiter and on global recruitment projects both in the UK and Australia, Andrea brings a solid understanding of various applicant tracking systems (ATS), end to end recruitment procedures from job approval through to onboarding, direct hiring, social media and employment branding.

Most recently, Andrea worked with Tate & Lyle on a global SuccessFactors ATS implementation. As the Recruitment Transformation Lead, she lead the build and deployment of the SF Recruitment Management and Marketing modules, including the external and internal careers portal and consulted on the onboarding elements, providing advice as to how the recruitment strategy would influence wider HR transformation.

She has regularly worked with eArcu, one of the new breed of ATS, along with PeopleFluent, Kennexa and Taleo. She also had some fun implementing video interviewing for volume hiring.

With over ten years pure recruitment experience, Andrea brings a knowledge and passion for the global recruitment process and systems, along with an understanding of translating that into the real world working environment for recruiters, hiring managers and candidates. She recognises that recruitment is more than a process and forms part of the wider company marketing approach. What happens in the external recruitment and candidate experience, heavily influences how people perceive the company.

Andrea has attending numerous events in the UK with The Recruitment Events Co. and acted as an Advisory Board Member to its Managing Director. Having got so much value from the Reconverse events held by The Recruitment Events Co., she thought it was an ideal time to bring the concept to Australia and New Zealand.
